Conference “Digital Transformation: Strengthening the Cybersecurity Capacities in the Modern World”

On November 4–5, 2025, the second joint conference on digital transformation and cybersecurity took place in Krakow, with the participation of speakers from Poland, Ukraine, the United States, Turkey and other countries.
The organizers and co-organizers of the event were:
University of the Commission of National Education in Krakow (UKEN), SET University, International Telecommunication Union (ITU) – Office for Europe, and State University of Information and Communication Technologies (ДУІКТ, Kyiv).
The grand opening was graced by, among others: Jarosław Ponder (Head of the ITU Office for Europe), Mykola Trofymenko (Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine), Brig. Gen. Oleksandr Potii (Chairman State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine — SSSCIP), Yuriy Matsyk (Director of the Department of Digital Infrastructure Development at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, representative of Ukraine at the ITU), prof. dr hab. Olga Wasiuta (Director of the Institute of Security and Computer Science UKEN), prof. Volodymyr Shulha (Rektor ДУІКТ, Kyiv) and dr hab. Serhii Semenov, prof. UKEN (Rector’s Representative for the Development of the Discipline of Technical Information Technology and Telecommunications), who addressed words of welcome to the participants.
The program covered, among others, cybersecurity in cloud environments, 5G, and future communication technologies, as well as organizational and technical security support—from policies and standards, through security engineering, to the use of artificial intelligence in threat detection and meeting the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
