Visit of Serhii Semenov (Associate Professor – UKEN) at the European Humanities University in Vilnius

Serhii Semenov, Associate Professor (UKEN), Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Cybersecurity, visited the European Humanities University (Vilnius, Lithuania). During the visit, he presented the latest scientific achievements of the Institute of Security and Computer Science at the University of the National Education Commission in Krakow and held meetings with university authorities to develop cooperation.

During his visit to the European Humanities University, Serhii Semenov, Associate Professor (UKEN), presented current research directions and key results of work carried out at the Institute of Security and Computer Science at the University of the National Education Commission in Krakow. The presentation covered key areas of research and implementation, including cybersecurity, computer engineering, and modern methods of analyzing and protecting information systems.

An important point of the program were meetings with the management of the European Humanities University, during which the possibilities of intensifying cooperation between universities in three complementary dimensions were discussed:

  • educational (exchange of teaching experiences, initiatives for students, guest classes),
  • scientific (joint research projects, publications, seminars and expert activity),
  • grant (preparation and implementation of international project applications and development activities).

During his stay, Serhii Semenov, Associate Professor (UKEN), also participated in the work of the thesis committee, serving as the committee’s chair during the thesis defenses. Participation in the thesis defenses provided an opportunity for in-depth discussion on the quality of education, graduate competencies, and directions for the development of degree programs in the field of computer science and cybersecurity.

The visit confirmed the readiness to strengthen cooperation and develop specific initiatives in the near future, in particular in the field of joint educational, scientific and project activities with an international dimension.
