Janusz Mazur, M.Sc. Eng., participated in the 21st edition of the K@SSK conference in Nowy Tomyśl – promotion of a new computer science textbook

On April 17–18, 2026, Janusz Mazur, M.Sc. Eng., an employee of the UKEN Institute of Security and Computer Science, participated in the 21st edition of the K@SSK conference in Nowy Tomyśl. During the conference, Mr. Mazur, along with other co-authors – Beata Chodacka, Janusz S. Wierzbicki, and Tomasz Mikołajczyk – promoted the new, innovative textbook “Informatics in Action” for grade 4 of primary school published by Nowa Era.
During the conference, the co-authors participated in a lecture entitled “Computer Science in Action,” which explores Nowa Era’s ideas for developing students’ digital competencies. They presented the publication’s principles and practical applications in computer science education for the youngest students. Additionally, Janusz Mazur, M.Sc., led a workshop entitled “Computer Graphics in Primary Schools Through the Eyes of a Graphic Designer“, sharing his knowledge and experience in computer graphics and a modern approach to teaching.
Participation in the conference was an important event promoting the new textbook, and at the same time an opportunity to exchange experiences, inspirations and discussions about developing students’ digital competences.
It is worth noting that Janusz Mazur, M.Sc. Eng., is also the co-author of computer science textbooks for secondary schools published by Nowa Era, which were twice awarded the title of Best Polish Computer Science Book of the Year, awarded by the Polish Information Processing Society.
