Associate Professor (UKEN) Serhii Semenov from the UKEN Institute of Security and Computer Science in Krakow participated in the seminar entitled “272,000 reasons to act” devoted to the issues of cybersecurity, digital resilience of the academic community and the protection of scientific research.

The event took place on May 8, 2026, and was organized in cooperation with the AGH Cybersecurity Centre, the Jagiellonian University’s Centre for International Studies and Development, and European partners. The seminar brought together representatives of the academic community, cybersecurity experts, public administration, and research institutions. The focus was on two complementary reports: the “Research & Education Security Report” and the “SOC4Academia Toolbox” developed as part of the SOCCER project. These reports also addressed the security of academic infrastructure, research data protection, organizational resilience to cyber threats, and international cooperation in cybersecurity.
