Student Scientific Circle of IT Specialists awarded in the Rector’s Grant 2026 competition

The fifth edition of the “Rector’s Grant” competition for funding projects implemented by student research groups at the University of the National Education Commission in Kraków was announced on May 18, 2026. Sixteen projects were submitted for this year’s edition.

The Student Research Group of IT Specialists operating at the UKEN Institute of Security and Information Technology received third place for the project “Comparison of the effectiveness of AI models in detecting image and video manipulation. Organization of the conference ‘UKEN to IT ‘”. The students participating in the project include:

• Artur Jędrzejewski
• Marcin Kosakowski

The project is being developed under the leadership of PhD. Roman Czapla. The Circle’s supervisor is Patryk Mazurek, M.A.
