5th edition of the Akademia_CYBER.MIL project

The Institute of Security and Computer Science will take part in the 5th edition of the Akademia_CYBER.MIL project, which will be carried out during the 2026/2027 academic year.

We encourage our students to take part in this project, which offers an excellent opportunity to develop cybersecurity competencies, gain practical knowledge under the guidance of experienced experts, and put their skills to the test during a nationwide “Capture The Flag” competition.

“The project’s objectives are pursued by supporting public higher education institutions that offer programs in computer science or cybersecurity, and by enriching the educational process with the knowledge and experience of qualified expert practitioners from the Cybersecurity Training Expert Center—professionals with extensive experience in tasks related to ICT security and the protection of cyberspace.”

“The project comprises three stages:

1. remote synchronous training sessions conducted by instructors and experts from the Cybersecurity Training Expert Centre,
2. knowledge tests conducted after the completion of training courses on the ECSC e-learning platform,
3. nationwide, in-person Capture The Flag (CTF) competition.”

“As part of the Project, students from participating universities who hold Polish citizenship will be able to take part in specialized training sessions—conducted via a dedicated audiovisual communication platform—between November 2026 and February 2027:

1. Cyber-hygiene – from November 2 to November 20, 2026,
2. Digital exposure as an attack vector – from November 30 to December 18, 2026,
3. Disinformation and information operations in cyberspace – from January 4 to January 22, 2027.”

“A key strength of the project is its practical nature. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the actual methods employed by professionals responsible for ensuring the security of ICT systems, as well as to gain knowledge that goes beyond the standard curricula offered at universities.”
