Tasks of the Education Quality Council

specified in Order No. R/Z.0201-100/2020

§ 10
Education Quality Council for the field(s) (EQC)

  1. takes steps to ensure the quality of education in the field or fields of study by developing and implementing an internal education quality assurance system in the unit in accordance with the recommendations of the University Council for the Quality of Education.
  1. EQC complies with the rules related to:
    1) linking the internal quality system with the mission and strategy of the Pedagogical University of Krakow, tradition, experience, and best practices in the field of educational quality;
    2) develops and adheres to the principles of implementing the educational concept in a given field or fields of study;
    3) adheres to the principles of proportionate involvement of academic teachers in the educational process, scientific work, and organizational work associated with the proper definition of competencies;
    4) adheres to the obligation to periodically review the achieved learning outcomes and, on this basis, improves the quality of education;
    5) cooperates with representatives of the social environment.
  2. EQC, in accordance with University Council for the Quality of Education guidelines, sporządza raporty prepares reports:
    1) survey results regarding the study program, lecturers, and the implementation of individual classes;
    2) review of study programs;
    3) evaluation of the educational process;
    4) analysis of the teaching support system for students,
  3. EQC determines, based on a SWOT analysis, strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the educational process and presents the unit director with a schedule of corrective actions and measures to improve the quality of education.
